While it is a bit of a long shot, I'd examine VERY closely the wiring
ends at the alternator main power stud.
Failures there can cause the van that was just running to not start
again after a stop.
With the battery negative unhooked, remove and closely inspect those red
wires to make sure the ring terminals and crimps on the ends are still
good as well as clean.

At this time of year problems in that spot become more frequent due to
the added electrical loads of the A/C system and radiator fan.
