Subject:Re: What can I do with a 1.9?

Hi Jeff,
I hope you find a home for it. I suspect you have a good core so it could be very useful to someone. Don’t they even rebuild them into 2.2 motors now?

My 1.9 engine has been relocated to a 1978 Bay window that is now water cooled. That engine fits nicely in the compartment. The radiator is under the bus and working very well and has about 5 inches of ground clearance, maybe more. So, I’m so happy to hear it running well and pushing the bay window. Only thing is, that bay is now climbing hills and cruising faster then me in my vanagon with 2.3!

I keep saying it is because the bay is lighter and standard, but it may also be the lead foot of the driver.
I gave my working engine to a friend as I believe in VW bus community karma and wanted to just keep another bus running happy!

Maybe search out someone with some skills and a bus in need and earn some karma points!
