Subject:Clutch pedal pressure

hi all,

I have a question regarding the Clutch pedal pressure on one of my vans. I
have several van 2.1 WBX with manual transmission, all have a medium to
light effort to push down the clutch pedal except one.
On this Syncro tintop the slave cylinder was replaced by a mechanic. With
the old slave cylinder the clutch pedal pressure was medium (as in normal
pressure). With the new slave cylinder the clutch pedal pressure is almost
double (as in hard to push down). The mechanic didn't find anything wrong
and sent me away (he said it's normal). So my questions are:

- is it possible that the mounting bracket of the slave cylinder is bent?
or the wrong bracket?.
- is it possible that the new slave cylinder is defective?
- is it possible that the clutch is on its way out and I need a new one?
- is it possible that I need a new master cylinder?

thank you in advance and I sorry about this long topic,

dan
