Subject:Re: Engin hatch insolation project

It took a good while to get the old stuff off and most of it was already
cut out to raise the lid! I collected all the scraping tools I could find
and just went to work. I can't remember what solvent I ended up using.

I just stuck the Hoodliner to the inside of the lid. No wire. It's so much
lighter than the original foam I don't think it's going anywhere. I cut it
as close as I could; I even made cardboard patterns to fit curves and
corners. I put B-Quiet Ultimate Sound Deadener in the raised portion
because there is little clearance between the engine and the cover.
