My big brakes didn’t come alive till I installed the bmw brake booster last
year. I was honestly pretty disappointed I spent 2k on disc brakes all
around and it wasn’t much better than stock. I really notice the difference
on steep decline deceleration. My old house had a steep hill with a bend
and people parking in the street. On more than one occasion coming around
the bend on a super steep decline someone would be coming up hill and
negotiating around a parked car coming into my lane. Here I come in my
vanagon having a holy sh$t moment as I’m standing on the brake trying to
avoid a collision, that was with the big brakes and stock booster. With the
bmw booster no more standing on the pedal. I stop on a dime now on steep
declines effortlessly.
